Ravi City Industrial Zone in Lahore is a planned project by the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) to establish the country’s first ever environment-friendly industrial zone that will be completely based on renewable energy resources.
The industrial estate will be part of Ravi City, a new city that aims to cater to the major concerns of overpopulation, traffic congestion, heavy pollution, water scarcity, and flooding in Lahore. The industrial estate will also have its own capacity to generate electricity using renewable resources and will adopt vertical farming techniques. The project is still in its initial stages and has not been launched yet.
